Senior Scientist II – CMC Developmental Sciences
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on various aspects of hands-on CHO cell line development, characterization studies, cell culture process development or protein purification in a well-supported and dynamic environment to help advance novel biotherapeutics into human clinical studies.
- Implement & interpret data from preclinical studies including molecular markers & platforms such as flow cytometry, IHC, next generation sequencing, microarrays, & others.
- Train colleagues in established methodology, troubleshooting of assays, & in development of novel techniques.
- Develop scientific presentations & reports for internal review meetings, & external collaborators.
Education & Experience
- Must have a MS in Cell & Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, or Chemical Engineering, & 3 years of academic or industry laboratory research experience.
- Of experience required, must have 3 years:
- performing cell line &/or cell culture development utilizing knowledge of cell/molecular biology research & signaling & tumor/immune cell interactions;
- performing bioreactor processes, cell culture optimization & molecular biology techniques;
- working with lab automation;
- engaging in sample prep & data analysis for Next Gen Sequencing;
- developing novel assays by applying cell culture & molecular biology knowledge;
- leading scientists to perform Cell Culture Process Optimization;
- training & mentoring junior scientists/students in academic lab.
- Alternatively, would accept PhD in Cell & Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, or Chemical Engineering, & 1 year of academic or industry laboratory research experience. Of exp required, must have 1 year of (i), (ii), (iii), (iv), (v), (vi) & (vii).
- Experience may be gained concurrently.
- Would accept any suitable combination of training, education & work experience.
Pay
Salary Range: $167,877.00 - $178,500.00 per year.

Schedule
Role is exclusively performed at a site or office and onsite presence is required. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
