Senior Scientist I- Preclinical Safety Data System Owner
About the role
The PCS Data System Owner is responsible for developing and enhancing PCS data systems to support business needs. They work closely with scientists, data system vendors, and contract staff to ensure seamless integration and usability.
Responsibilities
- Develop workflow templates, custom fields, and calculations in Core Enterprise Data Systems to support PCS business needs.
- Provide system user training for new system implementations and upgrades.
- Support scientists in troubleshooting data system issues to improve PCS workflows and data flows.
- Engage in user requirements engineering and consult on business platform suitability and buy vs. build decisions.
- Closely interact with business platform vendors and stay updated on new developments.
- Manage the lifecycle of a given business platform from a functional perspective, resolving project hurdles and assumptions.
- Maintain expertise across multiple PCS business platform systems to maximize team impact and flexibility.
- Drive the use of Agile methodology for efficient systems and applications development.
- Mentor and supervise a team of contractors, ensuring their effective performance.
- Participate in vendor and industry peer communities to learn best practices.
Requirements
