Key Responsibilities
- Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves highly complex technical issues with innovative and effective solutions.
- Provides technical leadership and stays current on emerging technologies and best practices in hydrogeology and groundwater management.
- Led and performs field work, data collection, quality control, and report preparation (including mapping/visualization and regulatory submissions).
- Develops new tools, ideas, and approaches to enhance technical work and project delivery.
- Acts as a Project Manager or Project Technical Lead, delivering projects on time, on budget, and within scope.
- Oversees technical work of other scientists and engineers to ensure deliverables are accurate, high quality, and compliant with safety and company standards.
- Communicates technical concepts clearly to clients, leadership, and peers; often serves as primary or senior author.
- Contributes to business development efforts through proposal development and client relationship building.
- Supervises early-career staff and guides them through day-to-day operations. Foster a culture of collaboration and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience related to water resources or earth sciences.
- Familiarity with local and regional water development permitting (e.g., TCEQ, GCDs) is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, hydrology, or a related field. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG), or ability to attain licensure within a reasonable period of time.
Skills
- Strong computer skills and experience with computer programming, quantitative analysis, or numerical modeling.
- Proficiency in scientific software, Microsoft Office, GIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Python, MODFLOW, and/or other relevant tools preferred.
