About the Role

We are partnering with a leading marine construction and manufacturing organization to identify a Senior Planner / Scheduler to support complex new-build programs and large-scale production operations. This is a highly visible role responsible for project scheduling, production planning, resource forecasting, and work package development across multiple high-value projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules from planning through execution.
  • Create resource-loaded schedules and forecast labor requirements across production work scopes.
  • Support build strategy development and overall project planning activities.
  • Generate and manage production work packages to support manufacturing and construction operations.
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Materials, and Program Management teams to ensure schedule alignment.
  • Track project progress, update schedule performance metrics, and identify potential risks or delays.
  • Assist with workload planning, facility utilization scheduling, and manpower forecasting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, scheduling, and project execution.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of planning, scheduling, project controls, or production planning experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, shipbuilding, marine construction, defense, industrial, or large capital project environments.
  • Proven experience developing and managing detailed project schedules.
  • Experience with resource planning, labor forecasting, and production scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of project execution within complex build environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project required; Primavera P6 experience is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.

  • Production Planning: Ability to support manufacturing and construction operations through detailed planning and work package development.
  • Resource Forecasting: Experience analyzing labor demand, workload requirements, and production capacity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Production, Materials, and Program teams.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Strong data analysis, forecasting, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  • Project Execution: Ability to identify schedule risks, drive accountability, and support on-time project delivery.
