Job Summary
About the role
The position is responsible for supporting the project management team with advanced planning, scheduling, progress measurement, change management implementation and analysis that may involve a major project or several smaller projects.
Responsibilities
- Implement Project Planning & Scheduling strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both Company and contractor roles, responsibilities, and expectations
- Provide interface and quality assurance to Project functional groups and contractors regarding the tracking and reporting of schedule performance
- Conduct the required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project as a whole
- Analyze deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions
- Prepare the Integrated Planning / Scheduling contribution to the Monthly Project Report and specific reports / presentations
- Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance / change order
- Ensure that schedule related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering and construction contractors of actual projects is provided as feedback into the planning and scheduling systems
- Able to work in multiple discipline projects
- Able to ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting the Company’s safety culture
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 10+ years of experience in project controls and/or time/schedule management experience
- Expert experience level using project scheduling tools (Primavera, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
- Knowledge of construction activities related to project scope, cost, financial management and scheduling
- Knowledgeable in all phases of the project management life cycle

- Working knowledge of applicable construction codes, policies, standards, and best practices
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and employees at all levels
- Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents such as scopes of work, and project schedule
- Exercise discretion and independent judgement when handling day to day information
- Must be proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent time-management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
- Able to work cooperatively across all levels delivering on commitments – results oriented
- Strong analytical skills required to understand and interpret data
- Able to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure to meet department targets and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
- Able to quickly learn the organization’s systems
- Must be able to work non-routine hours, when necessary
- Must have a valid, unexpired driver's license
- Able and willing to travel as required for out-of-town travel assignments

- Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity
