SENIOR SCHEDULER

About the Role

The Senior Scheduler will assist with project schedules across various departments including Business Development, Preconstruction, Operations, and Legal. They will also train and mentor staff on scheduling matters and provide support for project delays.

Responsibilities

• Manage and create project schedules from preliminary and ongoing project information.
• Attend job site meetings and work with architects, engineers, subcontractors, owners, and visit job sites to develop project schedules.
• Develop standard and custom graphs and charts for site personnel to manage the project.
• Train field and office personnel on scheduling software use and scheduling issues.
• Support and guide the team to ensure timely, complete, and accurate schedule submissions.
• Participate in financial and legal project reviews to evaluate and mitigate schedule risks.
• Prepare presentation-quality schedules for business development, operations, and legal presentations.
• Document project activities and assist in claim avoidance.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures for project scheduling.
• Prepare monthly schedule status reports and billing schedules.
• Participate in industry associations and community organizations to enhance the company's image.

Requirements

• Five years minimum field experience with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or five years or more of progressive equivalent work experience in the commercial construction field.
• Three plus years required in Oracle P6 Professional.
• Basic understanding of constructability issues and knowledge of baseline planning techniques.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in scheduling software.
• Able to travel as needed to participate in schedule development, training, and marketing.

Qualifications

• Five years’ minimum field experience with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or eight years or more of progressive equivalent work experience in the commercial construction field.
• Five plus years required in Oracle P6 Professional.
• AACE - PSP or PMI certification is a plus.
