Senior SCADA Integration Engineer

Responsibilities
- Planning, engineering, and designing SCADA and communications systems to interface with the Tangent AMP software and third-party systems and distributed energy resources (DERs).
- Designing and maintaining fleet-level SCADA systems that integrate with various Independent System Operators (ISOs) and utilities required for DER market participation (ISO-NE, PJM, MISO, etc.).
- Designing and implementing custom microgrid control sequences for grid-tied and islanded applications.
- Developing communication block diagrams, panel layout drawings, SCADA AC & DC schematics, communication drawings, and network drawings.
- Developing configurations for Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), such as SEL RTAC.
- Developing network device configurations for switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco, SEL, etc.).
- Designing and integrating SCADA system network and communication systems (DNP3, Modbus, SEL Protocol, IEC 61850, TCP/IP, UDP) remotely and onsite (if required).
- Coordinating with relay settings engineers to develop/review communication port settings for protection relays, meters, and other devices.
- Developing and executing commissioning and testing plans to validate data and implement end-to-end control architecture.
- Providing technical support to customers and Tangent's operations center, developing technical documents, user manuals, and operational procedures, and participating in project management and coordination.
- Assisting engineering with control wiring and control concepts.
- Working with and managing third-party engineering firms to verify that all technical information meets project specifications and design requirements.
- Working in conjunction with Tangent leadership to develop SCADA design standards.
Requirements
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role. Anticipated travel is 20-30%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong background in Distributed Energy Resources (DER) & Microgrids
- Familiarity with setting SCADA design standards

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Schedule
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
