Senior SAS Business Analyst with State Healthcare client

We have a consulting opportunity for a Senior SAS Business Analyst for a State Healthcare client. The technical requirements for this position are defined in the attached Job Description. The job is remote. The starting duration is 6 months. Please make sure that any proposed candidate has met the requirements outlined in the JD below. Must live in the USA. DESCRIPTION And RESPONSIBILITIES Client is seeking a full-time SAS Senior Business Analyst with strong Health Care domain experience to work with our Medicaid customers. The individual in this role will develop the Requirements Traceability Matrix, create technical documentation and assist with testing facilitation (QA and UAT) for healthcare analytics applications and reporting for our Medicaid customers. Partner closely with members of the Client team to perform the following: Solid standard business analysis skills including Requirements gathering and documentation ETL requirements for new data sources Report and analytics requirements Meeting facilitationUnderstanding business objectivesCommunication skills, both written and verbalQuick to catch on to new concepts, ability to roll with the punchesCompetent using VisioPrefer previous Jira experience Previous data warehouse experience, specifically focused on ETL Ability to accurately document ETL-based requirementsWrite Technical Design DocumentationBasic understanding of ETL coding, with SAS being a plus Healthcare experience, preferably in the MMIS space Qualifications Essential A minimum of bachelor s degree in mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required and equivalent work experience required. Successful Candidates Will Possess The candidate must have experience with Healthcare Claims data and large databases. Health care industry domain experience, such as; Understanding of claim handling processes, concepts, and industry trends 7+ years of Business Analyst experience. Deep experience doing reporting with healthcare claims and eligibility data Knowledge of common acronyms associated with Medicaid and healthcare (FPL, MCO, HMO, managed care, etc) Good written and spoken communications skills in English and thought-leadership skills. Major Responsibilties/Activities Services may include focus on and require the Consultant to: Project experience with documentation of technical requirements in an RTM. Experience creating or updating technical documentation such as report specifications and design documents. Have good oral and written communication skills. Lead and/or actively participate in SAS knowledge-sharing activities. Demonstrate the ability to work with little direct supervision; Excellent troubleshooting skills; Imaginative, inquisitive, with a self-motivating personality and a strong work ethic; Customer focused demeanor. Ability to read SAS code is a plus.
