We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to develop and support SAP S/4HANA MS/DM solutions for a global aerospace company. This role focuses on master scheduling, demand management, and production planning processes using ABAP, RAP, CDS Views, BRF+, and Fiori.

  • 4-month contract (extensions likely)
  • 40-hour-per-week (4-day, 10-hour shifts)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient SAP applications using ABAP, RAP, CDS Views, BRF+, and Fiori
  • Support custom screen developments, custom table generations, RAP applications, and BADI implementations
  • Enhance and maintain solutions for master scheduling, demand management, and production planning
  • Collaborate with teams to solve complex technical problems and drive process improvements
  • Mentor junior colleagues and stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends
  • Develop and maintain background processing jobs, application logs, and error handling frameworks
  • Implement master data governance and replication concepts, particularly for BP, customer, vendor, and material data
  • Work with Network, Sales Order, Complex Assembly, and PIR processes

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • 8+ years of SAP design and development experience in SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA systems
  • Expertise in S/4HANA embedded analytics and reporting using CDS analytical views, annotations, and KPI/query exposure
  • Technical proficiency in MS/DM and BRF+ for rules-driven decisions, validations, and workflow logic
  • Experience with Fiori Elements annotations and metadata extensions (not just custom UI5)
  • Strong background in background processing: jobs, application logs, error handling, and reprocessing frameworks
  • Knowledge of master data governance and replication concepts
  • Experience with large-scale SAP implementations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead collaborative work
  • Bachelor’s degree

Skills

  • Authorization concepts: CDS DCL, SU24/PFCG integration, authorization checks in ABAP/RAP
  • Debugging and performance tools: SAT/ST05, SQL Monitor, ATC, runtime analysis, CDS performance tuning
  • Transport and change management: ChaRM/SolMan, retrofit awareness, release sequencing
  • Testing skills: ABAP Unit, test doubles, OData testing, regression support
  • BTP integration awareness: SAP Integration Suite/CPI, destinations, cloud connector, side-by-side extensions
  • Classic SAP tools: Restful ABAP (RAP), ABAP Development Tools (ADT), ALV, Adobe Forms, ALE/IDOC, RFC/BAPI, BADI/enhancements, Workflow, LSMW/LTMC
  • CDS Views: Table Functions, Virtual Elements, AMDP, AIF, DRF
  • Fiori and UI technologies: Fiori Launchpad, Fiori Elements, SAPUI5, JavaScript, GIT, WebIDE/BAS
  • Integrations: SOAP via SOA Manager, OData, IDOCs, Proxys
  • RF screen development
