About the role
Join Penguin Random House as an SAP ABAP Senior Developer and play a key role in shaping the technology that powers the future of reading. As a key contributor within our technology organization, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality SAP ABAP solutions across ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA environments. This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone who thrives in coding, problem-solving, and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality SAP ABAP solutions across ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of SAP ABAP solutions.
- Problem-solve and implement technical solutions to meet business needs.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers.
Requirements
- 10 - 15 years of recent and relevant experience in SAP ABAP development.
- A deep understanding of SAP ECC 6.0 and AR, AP, SD, FI, and MM modules.
- Experience designing and implementing ABAP solutions in S/4HANA environment.
- A strong focus on coding and technical implementation.
- The ability to design, develop, and maintain high-quality technology solutions with cross-functional teams.
- An understanding of the overall business process of any of the core modules and the ability to demonstrate this understanding using examples.
Qualifications
- Primarily software developers with a strong focus on coding and technical implementation.
- Not primarily SAP consultants or analysts without a strong focus on hands-on software development.
- Limited or no recent experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Only worked with S/4 HANA.
- Not worked on SAP ECC in the last 4 to 5 years.
- Looking for a primarily consulting or advisory role.
Additional Information
- The Penguin Random House SAP Developer team is based in Westminster, MD.
- This position is open to remote candidates across the United States who can reliably work Eastern Time hours.
- The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000.
- All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
