About the role
The Senior Salesforce Business Analyst is responsible for leading Salesforce solution initiatives from discovery through delivery, ensuring business requirements are translated into effective, scalable technology solutions. The role requires strong analytical thinking, consulting skills, and the ability to collaborate with customers and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customer stakeholders to understand business objectives, desired outcomes, and success criteria.
- Lead discovery workshops and requirements refinement sessions to identify business, functional, and technical needs.
- Analyze requirements and create detailed user stories, solution documentation, and process designs.
- Perform fit-gap analysis between Salesforce capabilities and customer requirements to recommend optimal solutions.
- Design and develop Salesforce solutions using declarative configuration, automation tools, data models, integrations, and custom functionality.
- Configure Salesforce Lightning solutions, including workflows, dynamic forms, validation rules, advanced formulas, and Salesforce Flow automation.
- Support the creation of industry accelerators, thought leadership materials, and innovative Salesforce approaches.
- Define custom development requirements and coordinate delivery, testing, and refinement with development teams.
- Collaborate with customer Product Owners through Agile or hybrid-Agile delivery cycles.
- Develop training materials and deliver end-user training sessions to support adoption.
- Partner with project leadership to ensure projects remain aligned with scope, budget, timelines, and customer expectations.
Requirements
- Extensive Salesforce consulting experience.
- Strong business analysis capabilities.
- A proven ability to design technology solutions that address complex organizational needs.
- Technical Salesforce expertise combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant professional experience may substitute for formal education.
- Minimum of six years of professional experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience administering or consulting on Salesforce platforms.
- Strong experience with Salesforce declarative automation features, including Salesforce Flow.
- Hands-on experience building applications with Salesforce Lightning low-code capabilities.
- Experience designing data models, business processes, integrations, and Salesforce solutions.
- Experience creating Epics, user stories, and requirements documentation.
- Experience with Salesforce data migrations and data management practices.
- Knowledge of B2B, B2C, and hybrid business models.
- Experience working with public sector clients is preferred.
- At least two current Salesforce certifications preferred (such as Administrator, App Builder, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Community Cloud).
- Experience with Agile or hybrid-Agile methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and consulting skills.
