The achievement of individual booking goals and the achievement of budgeted hotel group room and related revenue through outside sales activities to grow new business.
Building relationships with current clients to maintain and grow existing business.
Skillful, efficient and timely response to incoming leads to ensure a high conversion rate on incoming leads and lead sources.
Service
Timely follow up and thorough attention to detail.
Negotiating, detailing and administration of required documents for group rooms and related events.
This includes, but is not limited to contracts, banquet event orders, payment arrangements and on-site assistance.
Effective communication of group details to all hotel departments in a timely and efficient manner.
As needed, meet and greet clients at the beginning of event to introduce client to service point of contact for hotel.
Understanding and Abiding by Safety Protocols
Understands and abides by all safety protocols.
Outside Sales Solicitation Activities
Outside Sales solicitation activities to grow group rooms and related revenue
Overnight travel for business related activities as needed
Achievement of monthly and quarterly booking goals
Proficient use of computer, software and technology
Skillfully respond to incoming leads and maximize conversion from all sources
Analyze and manage business opportunities to achieve the highest profit margins for department and hotel
Creatively sells available hotel space to maximize revenue
Obtains rooming lists, catering selection and set-up details from clients.
Finalizing banquet event orders and contacting customers for final counts as needed
Trace files to insure correct payment
Negotiate and finalizes contracts with in approved Crestline guidelines
Communicates with appropriate departments regarding set-up changes and final counts.
Ensures that guest rooms and meeting rooms are blocked.
Provide accurate forecasts to operational departments to ensure proper staffing
Establishes on- sight customer contact as needed and introduces customer to the service staff
Follows-up with clients after each function to insure satisfaction and solicit for additional business
Ensures proper usage and that all required information is entered into sales software including all significant client communication
Professionalism and Teamwork
Conducts oneself at all times in a professional business manner, acts as a professional representative of the hotel and an enthusiastic member of the sales team
Volunteers and assists other sales members as needed in the achievement of their goals to ensure departmental goals are met
Ensures Business Plan and related action plans are executed as established
Education and Experience
Must have a high school diploma or GED plus one to two years experience in hotel and/or conference center sales; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the above knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Conference center experience preferred.
