Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Executive to drive business growth across biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build territory revenue through targeted prospecting, cold outreach, email campaigns, and in-person client meetings.
- Develop new business opportunities across biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic accounts.
- Present service offerings, negotiate agreements, and successfully close new business opportunities.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and consistently achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Expand existing customer relationships by identifying opportunities for additional laboratory and pathology services.
- Build long-term relationships with researchers, Principal Investigators (PIs), laboratory managers, and decision-makers.
- Identify emerging opportunities in biomedical research and pathology services while monitoring competitor activities and market trends.
- Analyze sales performance, prepare pipeline reports, and develop strategies to maximize territory growth.
- Partner with Marketing on promotional initiatives across digital, print, and direct marketing channels.
- Collaborate with Operations, Laboratory teams, and Project Managers to align service offerings, pricing, project scope, and successful delivery.
- Support company objectives related to profitability, market expansion, and strategic business growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years of Life Sciences Sales experience, preferably in Histology, Pathology, Laboratory, or CRO Services.
- Proven success selling laboratory or CRO services to biotech, pharmaceutical, or academic organizations.
- Strong field sales experience with territory management, prospecting, lead generation, and client relationship management.
- Experience presenting solutions, negotiating contracts, and closing business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of specimen collection, histology processing, pathology workflows, and laboratory services.
- Experience with digital pathology services, glass slide digitization, and translational research is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of tissue-based assay development, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence, Multi-omics Tissue Analysis, Image Analysis, and Pathology Consultation Services is an added advantage.
- Established network within biotech, pharmaceutical, or academic research organizations is preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, analytical, and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and support additional regions as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates currently residing in or willing to relocate to the Boston Area are strongly preferred.
