Senior Safety Consultant

About the role

Build the future of data centers and lead safety on mission‑critical projects as a Senior Construction Safety Coordinator. This position supports large‑scale, high‑profile data center builds for a top MEP contractor in the United States, requiring precision, pace, and strong safety leadership. The role is field‑focused, travel‑friendly, and based near Milwaukee, WI and/or Kansas City.

Responsibilities

• Lead job‑site safety efforts on active, large‑scale construction projects.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Support high‑risk work planning (JHAs, PTPs, pre‑task meetings).
• Drive a proactive safety culture with field teams and leadership.
• Deliver toolbox talks, orientations, and training sessions.
• Partner closely with superintendents, subcontractors, and project leaders.
• Mentor junior safety staff and help elevate team performance.
• Manage incident investigations, reporting, and safety documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of construction safety experience (vertical or commercial preferred).
• OSHA 510 and OSHA 30 certifications (required).
• BCSP certification (CHST, ASP, CSP) – strongly preferred.
• Experience working in inactive job‑site environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence safe behaviors in the field.
• Proficiency with tools such as Procore, Excel, and Teams.
• Bonus: experience on data‑center or mission‑critical projects.
• Bonus: background working with MEP contractors or complex trades.
• Bonus: experience mentoring or leading other safety professionals.
