Senior Roadway/Transportation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work on all phases of Transportation Projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.
• Include interchanges, roadway widenings, roundabout design, bridge projects, drainage systems, storm water management, utility relocations, and preparation of contract documents.
• Primarily for Caltrans and public agencies.

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• VA PE license, or the ability to obtain within 1 year.
• 8+ years of experience in transportation engineering.
• Proficient with Microstation.
• Able to work in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
• Able to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
• Able to compose technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.
• Able to handle multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

The projected range for this position is $118,000 - $151,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
