Senior Roadway Engineer

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for an experienced roadway engineer in any of our Virginia, Maryland and DC office locations. Responsibilities IncludeServe as a design lead for department of transportation and/or municipal transportation improvement projectsPreparing/reviewing designs, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway projectsPreparing construction documents including stamping finalized plans for roadway projectsEnsuring transportation group and Mead & Hunt policies and procedures are followedPreparing task and contract technical and price proposalsManaging project and contracts deliverables, budget and schedulesLeading business development opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic regionOther civil engineering projects in other locations as needed Some travel will be required. The Successful Candidate Must Have All Of The FollowingA bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or universityA minimum of twelve (12) years of industry related experiencePE license in any state with the ability to obtain in Maryland within 6 months of hire The Ideal Candidate Will Have Any/all Of The FollowingORD Experience.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Leading roadway engineering projectsProject managementMentoring project staffBusiness development tasks (client relations, proposal development, etc.) If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com/careers. Salary Range: $135,000 to $179,000 annually - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set, or location.
