Job Summary
This role within the Electric Transmission Right of Way team will be responsible for the following:
- Complete reviews/research of Dominion's existing land rights using Dominion's internal systems to determine rights granted, identify issues and determine appropriate resolutions.
- Conduct title work research at Court Houses and/or equivalent with online land records systems (secure remote access).
- Responsible for editing Dominion’s internal systems including GIS and Dominion’s data management system with corrected or revised land rights data.
- Affix to peer review of ongoing land rights reviews to ensure accuracy and address issues/gaps as needed.
- Provides guidance to and assists in training of less experienced employees and/or new hires.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Must have at least 6 years of experience conducting research of land rights including abstracting and/or running chain of title on land records (Note: a partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications)
- Full knowledge and application of real estate principles
- Full knowledge of surveying and technical drawings including plats, site plans, etc.
- Must have a working knowledge editing data in a GIS system
- Must have a solid understanding of types of land rights and how to analyze and interpret the agreements (i.e. easements, deeds, quitclaims, subordinations, permits etc.)
- Full knowledge and application of technical drafting and applied mathematics
- Skills: Manual technical drawing, personal computer operation and applications, good written and verbal communication, drafting contracts
- Ability to demonstrate abstract and conceptual thinking
- Ability to perform mathematical/surveying calculations
Education Requirements
Education Level: Preferred Associate Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.

- Expected Hiring Base Salary Range: $65,500 - $85,000
