Senior RF Systems Engineer - On-Site

About the role

The Advanced Airborne RF Sensors team within the Space & Airborne Systems Engineering and Test Capability (SE&TC) Center is seeking a Senior RF Systems Engineer to support integration and test of complex airborne RF sensor systems.

Responsibilities

• Support Maritime Radar Systems Product Lifecycle
• Radar Mode Engineering
• Testing, Integration and Flight Testing
• Perform Radar Mode Design
• Develop and execute test plans
• Evaluate system functions and interfaces
• Verify requirements leading up to final sell-off
• Build and exercise systems in the lab and in the field
• Analyze system performance
• Ensure our products operate flawlessly from first power-on through delivery
• Work directly with engineering teams across multiple specialties
• Make the entire system come together

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Radar Systems Engineering and Algorithm Development
• To include Radar Systems, Software Engineering, Radar Signal Processing Techniques, Mathematical/Radar Mode Algorithm Development, Analytic Techniques and Digital Simulation Models (DSM)
• Design and analyze Radar Receiver Architectures and Radar Mode Designs
• Embedded GPS/INS (EGI) Systems
• MATLAB and C or C++ (coding experience required)
