Senior Reward Lead, DeepMind
About the role
Partner with the North America and EMEA Heads of Reward & Recognition to create and deliver high-stakes reward programs, acting as a thought-leader and authoritative advisor to senior leadership, proactively identifying organizational gaps, and driving holistic solutions that ensure we remain a competitive destination for global AI talent.
Lead high-stakes programs, advocating for holistic improvements that go beyond immediate asks. Form strategic alliances across DeepMind and Google, influencing stakeholders with competing objectives to align on the mission.
Set the standards for Reward as a go-to authority, coaching others to elevate the expertise of the broader People and Culture team. Solve problems holistically, ensuring solutions integrate with DeepMind’s culture and demonstrating expert judgement.
Remain confident working directly with data to support or disprove hypotheses, while role-modeling AI adoption and novel technical solutions to innovate existing practices and solve critical challenges.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or another field that uses quantitative analysis, or equivalent practical experience.
- 9 years of experience in an analytical HR role, management consulting (e.g., strategy, compensation), or similar analytical role.
- 4 years of experience in compensation.
- 3 years of experience in people management.
Preferred qualifications
- 3 years of experience supporting executive-level management in a corporate environment.
- Experience in a tech company or an environment with unique talent.
- Ability to proactively experiment with Google AI tools, demonstrating a commitment to improve efficiency and ways of working.
- Ability to grow in a fast-paced environment by adjusting strategies as needed to creatively solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust with executive stakeholders and influence others to align direction.
Benefits
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $230,400 - $320,400 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
