Senior Revenue Audit Analytics Specialist

About the role
The Senior Revenue Audit & Analytics Specialist will establish and operate the Revenue Audit Analytics function, combining financial audit discipline, revenue audit analytics expertise, data reconciliation, contract interpretation, and automation product ownership. The role will initially focus on historical revenue recovery and baseline leakage assessment, then evolve into ongoing revenue audit analytics controls, automated exception detection, workflow automation, and predictive revenue audit analytics capabilities. This role reports to the Director of Strategic Finance.
Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive revenue leakage assessments across all company revenue streams.
- Compare booked orders, supplier-reported activity, commission payments, and financial records to identify revenue gaps.
- Investigate missing commissions, underpayments, delayed payments, missing bookings, attribution issues, and supplier reporting discrepancies.
- Develop and own audit methodology, audit execution, reporting standards, and revenue audit analytics control frameworks.
- Quantify historical revenue loss and identify recovery opportunities.
- Perform root cause analysis on revenue leakage trends and recurring exceptions.
- Establish documentation standards and audit procedures to support ongoing controls.
- Deliver monthly revenue audit analytics reporting and executive-ready findings.
- Review contracts, commission schedules, payment terms, eligibility rules, claw backs, revenue recognition criteria, and supplier agreements.
- Validate expected commission payments against actual supplier payments.
- Analyze commission statements, booked orders, supplier reports, and financial records to identify discrepancies.
- Partner with Supplier Management, Revenue Assurance, and Commissions teams to investigate and resolve payment variances.
- Support supplier discussions related to payment discrepancies and recovery opportunities.
- Identify trends and patterns across more than 200 supplier relationships to improve revenue recovery outcomes.
- Build and maintain large-scale reconciliation processes across multiple enterprise systems.
- Write SQL queries to support revenue audit analytics investigations and exception analysis.
- Develop advanced Excel models utilizing complex formulas, Power Query, pivot modeling, and large dataset analysis.
- Analyze data from Salesforce, NetSuite, Microsoft Fabric, supplier commission systems, finance systems, and related business applications.
- Design matching logic and reconciliation rules to identify inconsistencies across systems.
- Create and maintain exception tracking repositories and audit datasets.
- Ensure audit exceptions are measurable, traceable, and actionable.
- Design and implement revenue audit analytics controls to reduce recurring leakage.
- Establish monitoring and reporting processes to measure control effectiveness.
- Create exception catalogs documenting audit findings, root causes, frequency, financial impact, and remediation plans.
- Develop recommendations that improve operational discipline across the Order-to-Cash lifecycle.
- Facilitate cross-functional investigations spanning Data, Finance, Revenue Audit Analytics, Supplier Management, and Sales Operations.
- Challenge existing assumptions and influence stakeholders toward data-driven solutions.
- Serve as the business Product Owner for Revenue Audit Analytics automation initiatives.
- Translate audit findings into business requirements and prioritized automation opportunities.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and workflow requirements.
- Partner with Data, Salesforce, and technology teams to automate exception detection and case management processes.
- Participate in solution design, User Acceptance Testing, rollout planning, and process adoption activities.
- Support long-term initiatives involving automated exception detection, workflow routing, escalations, and predictive revenue audit analytics capabilities.
Requirements
- Revenue audit analytics experience within telecommunications, technology services distribution, telecom agency, channel sales, or similar industries.
- Experience with supplier commission payment models.
- Understanding of revenue recognition concepts and financial controls.
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting and visualization tools.
- Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and leading complex investigations.
- Experience translating business findings into technical requirements.
- Experience with CRM data and customer lifecycle analytics.
- Background working with supplier reporting and commission ecosystems.
- 5-7 years TSD channel experience.
