Senior Revenue Accountant
About the role
The Senior Revenue Accountant will report to the Revenue Accounting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in building a best-in-class revenue team that is driving efficient and scalable processes.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate customer contracts to ensure that revenue is recognized accurately in accordance with ASC 606 and company policy.
- Partner with cross-functional business partners such as sales, deals desk, sales operations, order management, legal, and IT teams.
- Prepare revenue-related analyses and assessments such as contract combinations, material rights, contract modifications, standalone selling prices, professional services, and partner-related fees.
- Perform monthly and quarter-end close revenue activities, such as preparing journal entries, reconciliations, flux analyses, related reporting and disclosures, and close slides for management review.
- Help prepare supporting data and other requests for external auditors and business partners.
- Participate in developing, documenting, and maintaining strong internal controls over revenue transactions and reporting.
- Assist in driving efforts to build best-in-class, automated processes related to the Order-to-Cash process.
- Champion the use of AI tools to reduce close cycle times, improve data accuracy, and enhance revenue reporting capabilities.
- Assist with whitepaper or accounting memos to support the company’s position or policy election on specific revenue recognition issues as needed.
- Prepare ad-hoc accounting projects and analyses as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience required, at least 3 years in public accounting; Big 4 CPA is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 is required.
- Experience with Professional Services or different revenue recognition patterns (Ratable, Percentage of Completion) is preferred.
- Experience with multiple performance obligations and complex revenue transactions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with team members at every level of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills using large data sets.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and Google Sheets.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

Benefits
Compensation Pay Range $101,716.00 - $137,317.00
Salary Information The base salary range is specific to the United States. The salary of the final candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, work location, specialty and training.
