Senior Retoucher

We are seeking a Senior Photo Retoucher to work on the retouching and color management of images for a range of marketing materials, with a primary focus on ecommerce photography. This role includes leadership responsibilities, aligning processes and providing subject expertise to improve existing systems.

This role is based fully on-site at our HQ in Boston Heights, OH.

Responsibilities

• Work with Internal and External teams to produce guidance documentation, aligning new workflow development to integrate with existing systems.
• Provide subject matter expertise in decision making for planning and process refinement.
• Retouch environment and silhouette photography for Arhaus.com or other Marketing projects as needed, including compositing, clipping, color correcting, object removal, and alteration using non-destructive photo manipulation and retouching techniques.
• Collaborate with Post-Production Manager, fellow Retouchers, and Art Directors to create high-quality retouched imagery for Web & Marketing use.
• Work with Marketing teams to provide efficient, high-quality visual solutions.
• Stay up to date on brand standards via Web & Marketing style guides and ensure all imagery adheres to those standards.
• Deliver consistent, color-accurate product images.
• Prioritize and execute responsibilities efficiently.
• Efficiently handle multiple projects at once.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Photography, Fine Arts, Computer Graphics, or Graphic Arts AND 3-5+ years of experience in photo and image production.
• Product & Editorial Color Correction/Retouching Test Required.
• Deep understanding and experience with Adobe Creative Suite software (e.g., Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign, Acrobat Pro), including non-destructive photo manipulation and retouching.
• Excellent photo-retouching skills, including outlines, shadows, clipping, masking, color correcting, adjustment layers, liquefying, compositing, using history states, creating, and using actions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.
• Understanding of color profiles and file formats.
• Ability to take direction and work within cross-functional teams.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• A portfolio or website demonstrating proficient knowledge and understanding of photography and retouching is required.
