Senior Restaurant Manager

About the role

BJ’s Restaurants is looking for talented, passion-driven managers to join our Management Teams. As a Restaurant Manager, you will manage all functions of the restaurant during opening, mid, or closing shifts, ensuring a Gold Standard guest experience. All management positions at BJ’s Restaurants are classified as exempt, requiring more than 50% of your time spent on managerial duties with regular exercise of independent judgment and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Perform opening, mid-day, or closing duties and conduct daily briefings on matters of importance to the team.
• Manage all necessary repair and maintenance issues, as well as the Restaurant Risk Review audit process.
• Oversee local restaurant marketing, sales building, and community involvement.
• Facilitate and participate in the Continued Education Program.
• Ensure 100% compliance with all Company policies and laws.
• Make recommendations concerning development, promotion, and disciplinary action affecting team members, including hiring and termination recommendations to the General Manager.
• Cooperate with the Team Member Relations Department in investigating inquiries relating to the restaurant.
• Monitor food and beverage quality and execution, including safety and sanitation.
• Conduct Quarterly Food Reviews, prepare and receive orders, and perform weekly inventories.
• Monitor and validate daily prep production.
• Coach, mentor, and discipline hourly team members, and facilitate team member recognition.
• Train, coach, and develop team members to ensure Gold Standard service to guests.
• Manage guest relations and guest recovery.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of full-service, high-volume, casual dining restaurant management experience.
• High personal integrity, professionalism, and maturity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage relationships and performance effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, and questioning skills, along with exceptional writing and documentation abilities.
• Ability to absorb and retain information quickly with keen attention to detail.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and an exceptional guest service orientation.
• Physical ability to stand and walk around a restaurant for 8-10 hours, lift 50 pounds, and occasionally bend, stoop, or raise arms above head.

This salary range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Final salary within the range will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and other job-related qualifications.
