Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update 3D geological domain models and resource block models using Leapfrog Geo and geostatistical estimation platforms, ensuring models are current, auditable, and suitable for feasibility-level decision making.
- Direct the technical scope and review deliverables of independent Qualified Person consultants for mineral resource estimations prepared in accordance with NI 43-101 and, where applicable, SEC S-K 1300 reporting standards.
- Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to support resource classification and mine planning.
- Integrate geometallurgical domains into resource models to support process design, recovery forecasting, and mine planning for both sulfide flotation and leach-amenable material.
- Contribute resource model inputs to prefeasibility and feasibility study work, including resource classification confidence upgrades through targeted infill and condemnation drilling.
- Conduct data validation, direct QA/QC procedures, ensure database integrity, and perform timely model reconciliation.
- Collaborate with mine planning engineers to optimize mine designs and production schedules.
- Develop and implement resource reconciliation programs to track model performance against actual production and grade control data as the project advances toward operations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mine geologists and technicians.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage resource classification methodology, including variogram modeling, estimation validation, and confidence category assignments consistent with NI 43-101 category definitions.
