Senior Research Scientist - Immunology and Inflammation

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform tumor implantation in mice, measure tumor growth, conduct injections via various routes, and carry out general surgical techniques.
  • Collect and process blood and tissue samples, purify immune cells, and develop in vitro cell-based bioassays using primary mouse and human cells.
  • Investigate tumor microenvironment components using multi-parameter flow cytometry.
  • Independently design, plan, and execute experiments while maintaining accurate electronic records.
  • Analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate results during internal and external meetings.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate complex in vivo experiments and support cross-functional efforts across departments.

Skills & Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in immuno-oncology lab research, including proper handling and care of mice, tumor implantation, syngeneic and xenogeneic tumor models, and related surgical techniques.
  • Proficiency in tissue processing, immune cell purification, multi-parameter flow cytometry (FACS), and cell-based bioassays.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, GraphPad Prism, and FlowJo-OMIQ for biological data collection and analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cellular and molecular biology techniques, with the ability to independently design and execute experiments, analyze data, and present findings.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant laboratory research experience.
  • Experience working with mouse models and human cell lines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

  • $80,000 - $120,000 annually.

Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday.
