Senior Research Scientist
About the role
The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado Anschutz seeks a full-time Senior Research Scientist to contribute to building an ophthalmic epidemiology and meta-research program. The program aims to lead research on developing, evaluating, and disseminating efficient methods for comparing healthcare interventions and providing trustworthy evidence for decision-making, with applications in eyes and vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with and support the Principal Investigator and other stakeholders.
- Undertake and lead methodological research as well as applied research.
- Disseminate the research in peer-reviewed journals and other venues (e.g., presentation at conferences).
- Network and collaborate with various experts and stakeholders.
- Supervise and mentor student workers, graduate students, trainees, professional research assistants, or other personnel.
Work Location
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.
Qualifications
- A PhD, ScD, or DrPH in epidemiology, clinical epidemiology, or other related fields.
- Theoretical and practical experience in epidemiology, clinical trials, and research synthesis methods.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead research projects and collaborations.
