SENIOR RESEARCH OFFICER IN CLINICAL TRIALS MANAGEMENT

About the role

The post holder will set up and manage research projects that include Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs) on the Swansea Trials Unit portfolio. This will involve developing and managing key documentation for the projects such as protocols, participant information sheets and consent forms as well as trial management plans and reports. It will also involve working closely with other STU members of staff such as data managers and statisticians to facilitate accurate data collection and analysis, and working with a multi-organisational project team to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

The post holder will also be expected to support other departmental staff with running their research projects and to support the development of research funding applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage key documentation for CTIMP projects including protocols, participant information sheets and consent forms.
  • Work closely with data managers and statisticians to facilitate accurate data collection and analysis.
  • Collaborate with multi-organisational project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Support other departmental staff with running their research projects.
  • Support the development of research funding applications.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Proven experience in managing clinical trials and research projects.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating project timelines.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and tools for clinical trial management.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a relevant degree in a scientific field such as medicine, pharmacy, or a related discipline.

Schedule

The role is full-time and is expected to be worked on a standard 37.5-hour week.
