Duties
- eDNA field collection

- next-generation library preparation

- equipment maintenance
- management of genomic data, metadata, and pipelines
- preparation of reports and/or peer-reviewed manuscripts
Requirements
- a Master’s degree or higher in marine biology, ecology, environmental science, or a related field
- at least 1 year of relevant work-related experience with evidence of tangible contributions to the dissemination of new research information
- fieldwork and laboratory experience including eDNA collection and analysis of genomic data sets
- ability and desire to work as part of a collaborative team and support a culture of respect, inclusivity, and cooperation
- demonstrated organizational and communication skills
- demonstrated ability to successfully and efficiently work on multiple tasks at once
Qualifications

Benefits
This position is currently funded for 1 year with possible extension based on funding availability and will be based near Lafayette, Louisiana. Telework flexibility is available.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
Schedule
The position is full-time.
