About the role

The Senior Reporting Analyst plays a crucial role in the corporate consolidation and reporting team at Lifestyle Communities (LC). This role is accountable for producing high-quality financial statements and communicating financial results to various stakeholders. The analyst will also partner with multiple accounting teams across the organization to provide operational accounting and finance support.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage consolidation accounting processes and policies.
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all reports and data provided to external users.
  • Drive monthly financial close processes.
  • Prepare reconciliations of intercompany balances.
  • Conduct monthly financial analysis of key accounts as requested.
  • Maintain and update knowledge on Accounting Principles and market trends.
  • Understand and apply business unit methods in decision-making.
  • Manage reporting software and generate required data and metrics.
  • Assist with tax planning and compliance.
  • Influence best practices and strategic development for future business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business discipline.
  • 3-5 combined years of public accounting and/or industry experience (public company preferred).
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Sound technical accounting and reporting acumen, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of internal control concepts.
  • Experience with consolidation tools such as Planful, Hyperion, SAP, and Workday.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Energetic, forward-thinking attitude, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-4 years professional/public accounting experience.
  • Desired but not required: additional education or certification in accounting field.

Skills

  • U.S. GAAP and financial reporting skills.
  • Consolidation tools proficiency (Planful, Hyperion, SAP, Workday).
  • Internal control concepts understanding.
  • Business unit methods comprehension.
