Senior Repair Specialist

Location: Dahlgren, Virginia
Salary: $110,000 – $120,000
Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining, conducting maintenance, repair and install of hardware.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues down to the circuit board level and fabricate custom cables.

Required Qualifications

• Three (3) years of general maintenance and repair experience in computer‑based electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to solder multi‑layer circuit cards, cables, and connectors.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze circuit card assemblies to identify problems at the component level.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Work with electrical diagnostic tools.
• Follow existing procedures for equipment at the component, chassis, or system level.
• Perform research on Commercial‑Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) material.
• Ability to travel (CONUS).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, assist in moving equipment, and crawl underneath a raised flooring system to set up electrical wires.
• Must be able to obtain desired certifications within 90 days of start and maintain such certifications.

Desired Certifications

• Obtain a valid J‑STD‑001 solder certification within 90 days of start.
• Obtain an Operator IPC 620 wire harness and cable certification within 90 days of start.

Experience

• Experience with ring laser gyroscope, such as AN/WSN‑7.
• Experience with 400 Hz converter sets.
• Experience with NAVSSI and GPNTS.
