Senior Remediation Construction Manager - Downstream & Legacy Sites

Responsibilities

  • Construction Management: for our environmental construction, site remediation, civil construction, and decommissioning projects with a key oil and gas client in the US West Region.
  • Additional project opportunities exist in water (i.e. pumping stations, pipelines, treatment facilities, etc.), transportation (roads, trails, traffic improvements), as well as coastal, environmental, energy.
  • Develop, deliver, and manage budget plans and schedules for construction projects.
  • Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  • Conduct complex feasibility studies from technological, financial, and organizational perspectives on bid solicitation, including request for proposal (RFP) and request for tender (RFT) project requirements, and review specifications for tenders.
  • Monitor and review performance and behaviors within area of responsibility to identify and resolve noncompliance with the organization's policies and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct.
  • Manage important client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues or oversee relationship management with a group of more transactional clients and customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of experience as Construction Manager and/or Resident Engineer on multiple simultaneous construction projects.
  • CCM certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus, although not required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and management experience.

Skills

  • Knowledge of construction regulations and best practice.
  • Ability to provide specialist professional advice relating to constructability, cost evaluations, and sequencing for environmental and civil construction projects.
  • Proficiency in web-based document management systems.

Benefits

Salary Range: $97,500.00 - $162,500.00 based on experience and location.

Benefits include:

  • 401K - Employees are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following 3 months of service.
  • Paid time off – Our PTO benefit is designed to provide eligible employees with a period of rest and relaxation, sick, and personal time throughout the year. PTO starts at 16 days per year and increases with years of service.
  • Holiday Pay - Holiday pay is provided for eligible employees. GHD observes 9 holidays per year. Holiday pay will be based on the regular set schedule for the employee.
  • Wellness Benefit- Regular full-term employees are eligible to participate in the wellness reimbursement program. GHD will reimburse 50% of the cost of the following to maximum of $250.00 reimbursement annually for such items as: Health club membership fees, Home exercise equipment purchases, Bicycles, Race, run & marathon entrance fees, Smoking cessation programs, Weight loss programs (i.e.—Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig), Fitbits and Fitness Tracking devices.

Schedule

This position can be located anywhere in the western US. Projects are anticipated in California between Fresno and northern Los Angeles. GHD has nearby offices in Fresno, San Luis Obispo, and Los Angeles.

Pay

$97,500.00 - $162,500.00 based on experience and location.
