Senior Reliability Engineer, Operations Engineering
Description
The Senior Reliability Engineer will leverage their deep engineering expertise to ensure our renewable energy projects operate properly during their expected lifespan. They will utilize real-time SCADA data, historical asset performance, and their engineering solutions to lead root cause investigations, engineering projects, and conversations with suppliers, third-party engineering companies, and both internal and external stakeholders.
The Senior Reliability Engineer will implement new technical projects and processes to shape fleet-wide initiatives. After implementation, they will validate the success of their projects and provide well-written documentation. They will also review and vet damages and repairs, aiding in determining cause and providing engineering solutions.
The Senior Reliability Engineer's day-to-day work involves analyzing wind and solar operational data to identify opportunities for increasing energy output. They will lead and support engineering projects and tasks including root cause analysis, damage evaluations, and performance resolutions. They will utilize data visualization and other strategies to tailor reports and presentations for key audiences, including Asset Management, senior managers, external suppliers, and our investors.
The Senior Reliability Engineer will develop and document processes to increase the efficiency of their work. They will support our standard reporting and performance analysis process, working with site staff to identify potential resolutions for key issues. They will maintain, develop, and support standard processes to improve generation, availability, and overall performance.
The Senior Reliability Engineer will resolve issues and concerns independently, leveraging the internal and external resources at their disposal. They will identify and elevate increasingly complex issues or concerns to more senior staff, accompanied by recommendations for resolution.
