Senior Release Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Release Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of our release lifecycle across various product portfolios. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, while also enforcing quality gates and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own release planning and coordination across multiple teams and services
- Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
- Manage branching, versioning, and release strategies for PHP, .NET, and React codebases
- Define and enforce quality gates using Selenium and Playwright automated test suites
- Coordinate deployments across environments and handle rollbacks and recoveries
- Drive release readiness reviews and track open work items in Azure DevOps Boards
- Maintain clear release notes and audit trails
- Partner with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to improve processes
- Establish and report on release metrics and drive process improvements
- Promote release automation and encourage repeatable, self-service deployments
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in release management, DevOps, or build/release engineering, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead capacity
- Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Boards, Artifacts) and GitHub Actions
- Strong understanding of branching and versioning strategies across multiple languages and runtimes
- Experience integrating automated testing (Selenium and Playwright) into release pipelines
- Solid grasp of deployment patterns and rollback strategies
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills
Qualifications
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with Azure/AWS cloud platforms
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep)
- Experience with artifact/package management (NuGet, npm, Composer)
- Experience in a regulated or compliance-driven environment (SOC 2, ISO, etc.)

$120,000 - $130,000 + Bonus

Target Compensation
$120,000 - $130,000 + Bonus
DOT Requirements
If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
Compensation Range
$110,500.00 - $165,700.00
