Senior Registered Client Service Associate (Newport Beach, CA)
Celebrating more than 60 years in the financial-services industry, Raymond James is seeking a detail-oriented, creative problem-solver to provide high-touch administrative support to Financial Advisors, their prospective and existing clients, and other branch staff.
About the role
This essential position serves as the first point of contact for a high volume of daily interactions—handling basic inquiries, providing quotes, and scheduling meetings—across phone, email, in-person, and virtual channels. The role demands strong organizational skills to manage multiple, detailed tasks with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as first point of contact for prospective and existing clients, responding to inquiries, providing quotes, and scheduling meetings via phone, email, in-person, and virtual platforms.
- Manage and standardize best practices for new client on-boarding, large client liquidity events, and private-placement investment monitoring.
- Execute trading of discretionary and non-discretionary products, maintain models, and track performance.
- Service alternative investments and foreign accounts, including setup and ongoing maintenance.
- Participate in live meetings with Financial Advisors and their clients.
- Manage budgeting and tracking of Financial Advisor expenses.
- Create reports to identify practice efficiencies, key performance metrics, and implement process improvements.
- Onboard new clients, open accounts, and research client and security information using internal databases.
- Ensure client information and documentation comply with firm and industry regulations.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team to support Financial Advisors and the branch office.
- Solicit and receive client orders at the direction of the Financial Advisor; enter unsolicited trades as directed.
- Assist with marketing efforts, including seminars, mailings, and client-facing events.
- Engage in training, cross-training, and professional development to stay current on firm and industry policies.
- Mentor junior team members, manage workflow, and enhance team operational efficiencies.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of financial-services industry experience (or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training).
- SIE required (exemptions or grandfathering may apply).
- Series 7 required; Series 63, 65, and/or 66 as required by state.
- Ability to obtain additional securities and advisory state registrations if required.
Skills
- Proficiency in Client Relationship Management (CRM) software and goal-planning tools.
- Advanced Excel skills, including spreadsheet development and reporting.
- Effective communication across multiple platforms (phone, email, in-person, virtual).
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and use software for correspondence, reports, and databases.
- Strong analytical skills for researching account and security information.
- Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks with shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay
$55,000.00–$80,000.00 base salary or wages, plus potential additional compensation (cash or equity), discretionary bonuses, or commissions.
