Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair and install equipment of the following types: mechanical, electrical, diagnostic, controlling, monitoring and recording.
- Assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, align, and calibrate medical & laboratory equipment.
- Able to work with various electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, steam, water and air systems.
- Able to read circuit diagrams and wiring schematics, working knowledge of electrical systems.
- Supervise and conduct preventive maintenance programs.
- Manage repair parts, maintain inventories, order replacement parts and equipment.
- Rend technical advice and assistance as required.
- Provide customers and end users with product and technical support.
- Provide technical service/mechanical troubleshooting of equipment.
- Accurately document work conducted, and log times and materials for services on digital CMMS.
Requirements
- Work and communicate with technical experts, healthcare professionals/managers, and OEM representatives.
- Travel required to perform most on-site repairs, occasional overnight/multiday visits possible.
- Must be self-directed with sound judgment and able to solve problems with minimal guidance, oversight or direct management.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and needs, both on-the-job and remotely.
- Communicate with customers to help them understand how to use, maintain and troubleshoot their products and devices.
- Complete, maintain, update, and process pertinent digital systems, paperwork and records.
- Solve problems, document procedures and formulate repair plans and maintenance strategies.
- Operate, control and maintain various biomedical test and calibration equipment.
- Requires proficiency in various digital systems (CMMS, word processing, equipment service software, etc.).
