Senior Region Build Technical Program Manager, Region Services

About the role

AWS provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud. This role involves managing new region builds across the globe, supporting AWS global expansion as a technical program manager.

Responsibilities

• Support AWS global expansion by managing new AWS region builds
• Collaborate with Service Teams, Infrastructure and Business Development to design and deliver new AWS regions
• Work with Product Teams to design solutions that make efficient use of resources and technologies
• Work with all stakeholders to develop schedules that ensure timely launch of new regions
• Avoid and resolve technical obstacles, make trade-offs, and balance business needs and technical constraints

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Skills

Strong technical background, detail-oriented, excellent problem-solving abilities, deep understanding of distributed system design and delivery, ability to represent program status to senior leadership, and expertise in operational excellence.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

• USA, VA, Arlington - 148,700.00 - 201,200.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Herndon - 148,700.00 - 201,200.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Seattle - 148,700.00 - 201,200.00 USD annually
