Senior Recruiter
About the role
The UNT System Human Resources Department supports various components of the UNT System Enterprise, aiming to become a values-driven and customer-focused organization with a focus on excellence, curiosity, and innovation. This position will collaborate with hiring managers to attract highly qualified candidates for the University of North Texas Health at Fort Worth campus.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements creative sourcing strategies to proactively identify candidates and assemble talent pipelines for open positions, including executive roles.
- Builds community partnerships to source passive candidates for specialized or niche roles, attending and participating in targeted job fairs and recruiting sessions as necessary.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and resource for executive recruitment, supporting hiring managers in developing and executing recruitment plans and strategies.
- Collaborates with hiring managers during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Maintains awareness of external talent market trends and recruitment best practices to ensure the university remains competitive in acquiring and engaging employees.
- Consults with hiring managers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies, and to align recruitment strategies with organizational goals.
- Facilitates the selection process, including sourcing and recruitment, search committee training, and assisting with the interview process.
- Provides recruitment and selection support to hiring managers, including coaching on best practices and preparing interview questions and materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and four years of progressive talent recruiting experience with a focus on executive candidate generation.
- Experience with high volume recruiting.
- Experience at an institution of higher education.
- PHR/SPHR certification.
- Bilingual English / Spanish.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of federal and state laws related to recruitment and employment.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite and experience with applicant tracking systems.
- Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple assignments.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and trust with clients, peers, and candidates.
- Focus on providing customer service and follow through.
- Strong analytic skills with the ability to define and execute recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management.
- Consulting skills and ability to work in a team environment, as a team leader and member.
- Strong client focus and commitment to continuous improvement; ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships, pursue conscious cost containment efforts in recruiting, and seek new sourcing options.
