About the role
The Senior Recruiter at Hearth will independently manage multiple open requisitions across technical and non-technical roles, from engineering and product to operations and GTM. They will own the entire hiring process from intake to close, anticipating and solving bottlenecks to ensure speed and quality. This role is part of a small, high-autonomy team in a competitive B2B fintech market.
Opportunity
This is a senior, high-autonomy seat where the Senior Recruiter will carry a full requisition load, closing searches quickly and decisively. They will work closely with hiring managers, adapt to their unique needs, and advise them throughout the process. The ideal candidate thrives on managing multiple searches simultaneously, closing candidates on fit and opportunity rather than just compensation.
What You'll Do
- Independently manage 4 to 5 or more open requisitions at once, covering both technical and non-technical roles.
- Anticipate and solve bottlenecks to maintain speed and quality in the hiring process.
- Own the entire hiring process: intake, sourcing strategy, screening, interview loop design, feedback, offer, and close.
- Work closely with hiring managers, adapting to their unique processes, and serve as their primary advisor.
- Run intakes that define the success profile, calibrate the bar, and align on process before the search begins.
- Use market data and pipeline evidence to challenge and refine hiring strategy when necessary.
- Source candidates across multiple channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, communities, referrals, events, niche networks, and AI sourcing tools.
- Treat recruiting like sales, building genuine relationships, selling Hearth's mission and trajectory, and closing candidates on more than just compensation.
- Deliver a candidate experience that encourages acceptance, ensuring responsiveness, humanity, and high-signal at every touchpoint.
- Track pipeline conversion, time to hire, pass-through rates, and sourcing channel effectiveness, adjusting strategies based on data.
- Keep ATS data clean and reporting accurate to ensure the team has a clear understanding of pipeline health.
What We're Looking For
- 4–6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
- A track record across both technical and non-technical roles, speaking fluently in both engineer and executive language.
- Fintech or startup experience.
- A proactive, curious self-starter who moves with urgency and figures things out independently.
- A strong closing ability, focusing on fit and opportunity rather than just compensation.
- Multi-channel sourcing skills and comfort working with pipeline data.
- Data-fluent and a resourceful, multi-channel sourcer capable of managing 4–5+ requisitions in a fast-growing SaaS or fintech environment.
Location
The role will be based in NYC, alongside the CEO and other key roles in the business. Hearth supports an in-person/hybrid work culture (3+ days/week) for builders committed to innovative software and making a significant positive impact in the world.
