About The Role
The Senior Recruiter will play a crucial role in identifying and attracting top-tier candidates for various public accounting roles within the organization and our partner firms. This position requires a deep understanding of both accounting functions and the recruiting process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for full cycle recruiting which includes developing and executing creative sourcing strategies to find high-quality talent, maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates, screening, coordinating interviews, offer delivery, and working closely with hiring managers and recruiters to meet hiring goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and engage passive candidates for accounting roles (e.g., Tax, Audit, Accountants, etc.) through online platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, databases), and social media.
- Develop and maintain a talent pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future accounting roles.
- Build long-term relationships with potential candidates.
- Conduct initial resume screenings and preliminary interviews to assess candidate qualifications, skills, and culture fit.
- Assist with scheduling interviews and coordinating with hiring manager calendars.
- Onboard new hires in the system and work closely with the HR team to ensure the firm is providing a positive candidate onboarding experience.
- Work closely with the recruiting team and hiring managers to understand the specific requirements of each position, including technical skills, experience, and certifications.
- Actively promote the company’s values, culture, and opportunities to attract high-quality accounting talent. Share company updates and news via social media and professional networks.
- Stay up to date with trends in accounting, compensation, competitor hiring, and industry shifts. Provide insights on market conditions and salary trends to inform recruiting strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions, activities, and progress using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Provide regular updates to the recruiting team on sourcing progress.
What You’ll Need
- Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of recruiting experience, ideally within finance or accounting recruitment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting roles and qualifications (CPA, CIA, EA, etc.). Understanding of accounting principles is a plus.
- Proficiency in using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and other sourcing tools. Experience with Boolean searches.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and attract passive candidates.
- Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work closely with recruiters, HR, and hiring managers in a fast-paced environment.
