About the role
We are looking for an experienced real estate specialist to support complex land and property matters for utility and infrastructure initiatives in Juno Beach, Florida. This long-term contract position focuses on securing property interests, guiding negotiations, and helping advance projects that require rights-of-way, site control, and land use coordination. The role calls for strong judgment in legal, regulatory, and commercial matters, along with the ability to work effectively with landowners, agencies, developers, and construction stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Drive land acquisition strategies for large-scale projects, securing fee ownership, leases, easements, and rights-of-way needed for project delivery.
- Lead negotiations with landowners and external parties to obtain transmission corridors, substation locations, and other critical property interests within required timelines.
- Manage the sale, leasing, or disposition of company-held properties while protecting business objectives and maintaining proper documentation.
- Address complicated title, ownership, boundary, and access disputes by coordinating with legal, regulatory, and operational teams to reach practical resolutions.
- Provide guidance on land rights, zoning considerations, land use matters, and eminent domain-related activities to support project planning and execution.
- Direct valuation discussions and structure high-value property agreements using sound market analysis, negotiation strategy, and risk awareness.
- Partner with developers, regulatory bodies, construction teams, and property owners to establish compliant land use agreements and support project progress.
- Create and refine acquisition procedures, governance standards, and operating practices that improve consistency, compliance, and overall effectiveness.
- Ensure all transactions and negotiations align with applicable laws, internal policies, and regulatory obligations affecting real estate and land use activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; additional coursework or certification in real estate law, land acquisition, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience handling complex real estate transactions, land acquisition, rights-of-way, easements, or similar property matters.
- Strong background negotiating property agreements, resolving land-related conflicts, and managing high-stakes transactions with multiple stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of real estate law, regulatory requirements, land use planning, and processes related to eminent domain or comparable proceedings.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret valuations, assess transaction risk, and support business decisions involving significant property interests.
- Experience collaborating with regulatory agencies, developers, construction teams, and internal business units in a detail-oriented environment.
- Strong communication, documentation, and policy interpretation skills, with the ability to balance compliance requirements and project deadlines.
