About the role

RES is seeking a Land Representative I to support land acquisition and property research efforts for various ecological restoration, water quality, and conservation projects. This role involves identifying, evaluating, and securing land assets while gaining experience in the business, legal, and environmental factors shaping long-term land strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Support land acquisition and property research efforts
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure land assets
  • Assess land for acquisition by collecting property details such as zoning, access, and site constraints
  • Prepare and organize contracts
  • Track landowner communications
  • Evaluate basic title documents
  • Enter property details into internal systems
  • Build knowledge of the RES land model
  • Understand how land supports mitigation and restoration strategies
  • Plan for long-term resale and stewardship

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., environmental studies, real estate, business, or related field)
  • 1+ year of experience in land acquisition, real estate, or sales (preferred)
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
  • Strong internet research skills and ability to learn online property records systems
  • Knowledge of property title issues, access constraints, or zoning
  • Familiarity with restoration-related land transactions or environmental due diligence
