Senior React Developer with Java API & Spring Boot Experience

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior React Developer with expertise in building modern, scalable, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong front-end development experience with ReactJS and related technologies, along with working knowledge of Java APIs and Spring Boot to support seamless integration across enterprise platforms.

This role is primarily focused on front-end development and user experience (approximately 80%), while also requiring the ability to collaborate with backend teams and contribute to API integrations and backend enhancements (approximately 20%).

Responsibilities

• Work on multiple enterprise applications and digital initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and informal mentoring to junior developers.
• Develop innovative solutions based on business requirements and technical analysis.
• Participate in and lead critical projects, customer engagements, and business processes.
• Provide application-level design, technical documentation, and implementation guidance.
• Participate in establishing and maintaining application development standards and best practices.
• Effectively communicate technical direction to business stakeholders and internal IT teams.
• Advise on issues related to system integration, compatibility, scalability, performance, and platform design.
• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document software solutions associated with enterprise applications.
• Review technical challenges and recommend appropriate solutions and technologies.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, and Visual Designers to develop next-generation user interfaces and web applications.
• Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performing React-based applications.
• Create reusable components, design patterns, and shared UI libraries to promote consistency and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with backend teams to design, consume, and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Support Java Spring Boot API development and enhancements as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Participate in API design discussions and contribute to end-to-end solution delivery.
• Assist in implementing application security standards, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point while providing guidance to less experienced team members.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience with modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• 4+ years of experience developing enterprise web applications using ReactJS or similar modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong experience developing responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces.
• Experience creating reusable UI components and scalable front-end architectures.
• Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs within React applications.
• 2+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot development.
• Working knowledge of RESTful services, microservices architecture, and API integration patterns.
• Experience with Git-based source control and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with ReactJS, Redux, JestJS, React Testing Library (RTL), Webpack, StorybookJS, and StencilJS.
• Experience building large-scale enterprise web applications using ReactJS.
• Experience creating near pixel-perfect implementations based on design specifications.
• Familiarity with state management solutions such as Redux, RxJS, or similar frameworks.
• Experience writing automated UI tests and supporting quality engineering practices.
• Knowledge of BDD, test automation, accessibility standards, and ADA compliance.
• Familiarity with Java Spring Boot APIs and microservices-based architectures.
• Understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of API security concepts such as OAuth2, JWT, SSO, and OpenID Connect.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience using GitHub and Jira for software development and project tracking.
• Experience using browser developer tools and debugging techniques for issue resolution.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar.
• Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Experience using UI/UX design tools such as Figma, InVision, or similar platforms.
• Experience mentoring developers and participating in technical design reviews.
• Financial Services or Banking domain experience preferred.

Pay

The starting pay range for this role is $65.00/hour to $70.00/hour. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
