Senior Radiation Therapist - Full Time

About the role

Radiation Therapist responsible for delivering prescribed radiation treatments, assisting with treatment planning, dosimetric calculations, quality assurance, and data input. Provides patient care by explaining procedures, ensuring safety, and monitoring for reactions or complications. Supports daily departmental operations and acts as a technical specialist, mentoring staff and students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in radiation oncology or equivalent (preferred)
• Minimum three years of radiation therapy experience (preferred)
• ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) certification required
• Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (TRT) certification required
• ARRT-T license required
• BLS license required
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy accurately per prescription and safety standards
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, assist with patient immobilization
• Monitor patients for reactions, document treatment and patient data
• Maintain patient charts and records to prevent errors
• Supervise and train clinical students
• Assist with department operations and ensure compliance with safety and organizational policies
