About the role

3D Personnel are working with a well-recognised Irish main contractor seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team in the South West of Ireland. You will provide commercial support, manage prestigious projects, and ensure commercial discipline is maintained. The role offers long-term opportunities on high-profile infrastructure projects and the chance to lead a variety of prestigious projects within the industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial support and manage projects to maintain commercial discipline
• Develop project staff on commercial issues
• Risk management
• Financial reporting including CVRs and budget forecasting
• Maximise cash flow
• Client liaison
• Report into the Regional Commercial Manager and Director
• Materials procurement
• Management of the supply chain

Requirements

• Degree qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Surveying
• 8+ years’ commercial experience working for a main contractor with detailed Building & Fit-out knowledge
• Experience with various types of contract forms
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent client liaison skills
• Project management experience and good team leadership skills
• Extensive understanding of the civil engineering infrastructure industry
• Flexibility and talent for negotiation
