Job Summary
This project is located in Shreveport, LA and requires candidate to have wastewater experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor all quality activities on a project and ensure compliance with the Quality Implementation Plan (QIP).
- Participate in design phase activities and document reviews.
- Understand design documents and perform precons, first work in place, and periodic inspections to ensure compliance with the design documents.
- Promote the use of materials, finishes, and details with excellent long-term quality performance.
- Initiate QIP on every assigned project.
- Conduct design quality kick-off meeting.
- Ensure that design reviews are completed and signed off at 30 and 100%.
- List quality risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Review final documents on all assigned projects.
- Hold geotechnical, concrete, and envelope reviews on all assigned projects.
- Perform geotechnical report review and advise Project Director, Project Manager, and A/E Design Principals on critical related information.
- Conduct construction quality kick-off meeting.
- Select and evaluate independent testing laboratories to support the project construction phase.
- Develop budgets, administer contracts, and monitor scheduled activities, such as reports, field activities, tests, and inspections on all agencies contracted.
- Distribute test results to appropriate design and QA team members.
- Finalize remaining quality risks with well-developed mitigation plans.
- Ensure that all precons required by the QIP are conducted.
- Schedule and conduct all first work in place inspections and monitor progress of all required corrective measures.
- Ensure site observations are conducted in cooperation with Design Principal, Project Manager, and Superintendent.
- Perform all assigned QA inspections, prepare reports, document deficiencies, and monitor progress of deficiency correction.
- Ensure Haskell completion conference and subcontractor completion conferences are conducted and documented.
- Create and complete AE punch lists and monitor their progress.
- Perform final QA punch list, document findings, and verify/document completion of deficiencies.
- Conduct lessons learned meeting in conjunction with the Project Director, Project Principal, and Project Manager.
- Prepare lessons learned document and distribute to project team and Director of Quality.
- Prepare monthly summary of all assigned QIP's, note trends, and participate in Monthly delivery group QIP meetings.
- Attend QIP audits with the QA Manager and/or Director of Quality as requested.
- Perform Quality training as requested on specific subject matter (minimum of 1 per year).
- Communicate to QA Manager or Director of Quality potential inconsistencies, deficiencies, errors, omissions, and conditions that may expose the company to liability expenses.
- Prepare concise, thorough, logically structured, and well-written reports for each QIP activity.
- Distribute reports in a timely manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 3+ years of construction experience in wastewater
- CMMQ-C Certificate preferred but not required
- Ability to analyze and accurately interpret building construction documents and related reports.
- Leading preconstruction meetings to establish quality benchmarks and inspection protocols.
- Evaluating construction progress at designated milestones.
- Collaborating with client quality assurance teams and guiding on-site inspectors to uphold compliance with testing and inspection standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster productive collaboration.
- Effective organizational abilities to manage and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication proficiency.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to thorough follow-up.
- Expertise in utilizing Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively, with over 50% of time spent at project sites.
