Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Opportunity:The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for both API and UI layers of a leading SaaS application. This position contributes to ensuring software quality, scalability, and reliability, while also mentoring team members and promoting best practices within a distributed engineering environment. 3. Responsibilities:• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites for API and UI layers• Collaborate with QA and development teams to define and implement testing strategies• Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and deployment pipeline• Participate in load, stress, and endurance testing to validate system performance• Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate on remediation efforts• Analyze test failures and generate detailed defect reports• Validate software compliance with requirements and quality standards• Perform manual testing when automation is unsuitable• Promote consistent testing practices across development teams• Recommend improvements to automation and quality processes• Mentor team members on automation design and testing best practices• Provide technical leadership in building maintainable and reusable test frameworks 4. Requirements:• 8+ years of experience in Agile, collaborative team environments• 5+ years developing API and UI test automation solutions• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, or Playwright• Experience with load/performance testing tools like JMeter, k6, or Gatling• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns• Proficiency in C#, Java, or JavaScript• Understanding of web and browser technologies• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field 5.
