About the role

The Senior QA Test Engineer SAP OTC plays a pivotal role in ensuring that solutions function correctly and are error-free by performing the verification and validation of product requirements and implementing quality assurance processes. This role involves monitoring and evaluating testing outcomes, collaborating closely with development teams, and executing moderate tests, including regression, functional, and performance tests for both new and existing functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing moderate test results to recommend corrective actions is crucial, as is researching and implementing cutting-edge testing technologies, such as machine learning.
• Mentors junior team members, supports architects in developing robust automation strategies, and generates scripts for automated testing.
• Develops, builds, and supports moderate systems that may have system-wide impact and coordinates this work across multiple teams to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality products.
• Ensures end-to-end process integrity, validates cross-functional integrations, and drives high-quality delivery for complex enterprise programs, including greenfield, brownfield, and enhancement projects.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on expertise across full SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, including order management, pricing, VIP Price 2.0, delivery, shipping, billing, and returns.
• Execute complex RTM multilayer testing and validate end-to-end business scenarios spanning S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, and integrated enterprise ecosystems.
• Strong FI/CO integration background, including Accounts Receivable (AR), ACDOCA, Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR), and cash application workflows.
• Skilled in testing and troubleshooting EDI/IDoc/EAPI interfaces, including FinTech transaction formats (810/820) and cross-system financial data flows.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams—P2P, R2R, Supply Chain, WM, Sales, and Commercial—to ensure alignment of business processes and system design.
• Hands-on experience with SAP GUI, Fiori applications, Business Partner (BP) migration activities and tools such as ChaRM/QGM.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end enterprise integration landscapes.
• Background in both SAP ECC and s/4HANA greenfield implementations, supporting configuration, testing, cutover, and hypercare phases.
• Own end-to-end QA strategy, test planning, and execution for the O2C workstream across all project phases.
• Experienced in integration testing in bound and outbound from s/4.
• Identify testing risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
• Experience with SAP test automation tools (e.g., Tricentis Tosca) is a plus.
• Work with Business Analysts to interpret testing needs as requirements are being developed.
• Evaluate testability of business and technical requirements based on business/functional requirement document(s), use cases, user stories, and/or solution design documents.
• Execute requirement/design reviews or sprint/release planning sessions.
• Help perform impact analysis on changes to existing architecture, work processes, and systems.
• Measure performance of various components (using simulated stress tests) and report any outliers/exceptions.
• Create test plans.
• Design, develop, and implement reusable components.
• Maintain new and existing object reference files.
• Set up and maintain test environments for both manual and automated testing.
• Monitor test environments establishing thresholds and alerts.
• Ensure availability of data for testing.
• Provide root cause analysis on defects and documented issues.
• Work closely with functional consultants, ABAP developers, Basis, security teams, and business SMEs to triage defects and perform root cause analysis.

• Experience with writing and reviewing test cases.
• Proven knowledge of coding practices, concepts, and design patterns to create maintainable test frameworks.
• Proven knowledge of testing frameworks, tools, and test automation frameworks.
• Experience with OpenText ALM and Tricentis TOSCA.
• Solid knowledge of automating CI/CD infrastructure, as well as the tools, languages, and file formats that inform tooling decisions in the testing strategy.
• Experience with performance and non-functional testing to understand how systems perform.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Information Systems) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Typically, 3+ years of quality assurance testing, or other relevant roles work experience.
• Extensive experience using testing frameworks, tools, and test automation frameworks.
• In-depth familiarity with software development, testing practices, and quality assurance processes.
• Native-level proficiency/fluent in English.
• Experience in DevOps and Agile technology environments.
