About the role

At Accelare, we’re building an environment where software developers, solution architects, customer experience, and QA engineers collaborate to design new business models that drive true digital transformation. Using the ServiceNow Platform as a Service (PaaS), you’ll apply your skills to help clients reimagine their business strategies through innovative process design and cutting-edge technologies like AI, IoT, cloud computing, and big data.

As a Business Model Design Engineer, you’ll work as part of a team to evaluate how technology impacts key business model components—value proposition, cost structure, market segmentation, channels, revenue streams, partnerships, resources, and activities. You’ll leverage the ServiceNow platform to solve unique business challenges, enabling new processes and models of work rather than just automating existing ones. Using techniques like process reengineering, Agile/Scrum, and prescriptive design, you’ll facilitate digital transformation that goes beyond software implementation.

We don’t believe in order-taking—our engineers are integral to designing breakthrough solutions. You’ll collaborate directly with clients, not just as a requirements gatherer but as a strategic partner in execution. This role demands creativity, complex problem-solving, and a results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Development Team to understand business user stories and define testing scenarios to cover acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with the Testing Team to develop manual and automated testing scenarios.
  • Build and maintain automated and manual test scripts for unit, integration, and UAT testing.
  • Ensure client testing scripts and results align with project scope (e.g., testing existing requirements vs. new enhancements).
  • Analyze test results to identify defects and work with Testing and Development Teams to remediate them.
  • Report on test coverage, automation percentages, and progress toward targets to leadership weekly.
  • Coordinate with client teams, SMEs, and end users for sprint testing, UAT, accessibility, system, and integration testing.
  • Provide daily updates in team standup meetings on active items.
  • Shift from gathering requirements to asking strategic questions, such as:
    • What does the strategic design and implementation roadmap look like?
    • How does this software enable, drive, or contribute to strategy?
    • What results-oriented impact will this software have on the client?
    • How else can this software be leveraged for this client?
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in IT or a related field, with a background in Computer Science, Software Quality Assurance, Information Systems, or a similar discipline.
  • Experience building and maintaining manual and automated testing.
  • Ability to define clear, understandable test cases and scenarios to cover user story acceptance criteria.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines.
  • Effective and professional communication with management, internal staff, and customers.
  • Ability to work independently to achieve exceptional results while following documented procedures accurately.
  • Must be a self-starter with a sense of ownership over strategic design and implementation.
  • Interest in creative, complex problem-solving and outside-the-box thinking.
  • Results-driven mindset.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary.
  • Annual bonus.
  • Supplement Executive Retirement Program.
  • Comprehensive health and dental insurance.
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • Company-sponsored life insurance.
  • 401k Plan with matching employee contributions.
  • 15 workday PTO and federal holidays.
  • Sales commission opportunities.
  • Culture based on innovation and transformational thinking.

Schedule

Expected 40 hours per week.
