Senior QA Engineer
About the role
Fidelity Investments is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team at Fidelity Prime Services. The position offers opportunities to work on projects related to securities financing needs, including short coverage, margin financing, and long lending. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing brokerage industry financial applications, automation, and agile software development.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain automation scripts using Cucumber/ Selenium
- Create test plans and test cases to cover critical path as well as edge cases
- Work with the product owner and Tech Project Manager to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
- Understand the technical implementation of the product and review developer code
- Develop and maintain automation code for regression testing
- Reproduce, debug, and isolate problems and verify fixes
- Ensure quality control standards are met by the team
Requirements
- Solid experience testing brokerage industry financial applications
- Experience with BDD frameworks using Cucumber/ Selenium
- Experience running automation in a CI/CD pipeline
- Experience with agile Software Development Lifecycle
- Strong SQL experience, including writing and executing complex queries
- Experience with middle tier coding using Java
- Front-end development skills using Angular, JavaScript
- Backend development skills using Oracle SQL
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in automation testing tools
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$153,000 per year. The actual salary will depend on job responsibilities, scope, geographic location, and other factors.
Schedule
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
