Senior QA Automation Engineer

The Senior QA Automation Engineer leads the development and oversight of automated testing strategies across the transportation management system. This role is pivotal in setting standards for trustworthy regression testing and integrating AI as a core tool in daily quality assurance practices. The engineer mentors team members, shapes testing priorities, and ensures the scalability and reliability of automated coverage, significantly impacting software quality and team capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and review automated test coverage standards across the TMS.
• Identify and address unreliable or false-positive tests, including AI-generated ones.
• Establish and recommend automation priorities and strategies for Salesforce-native TMS.
• Utilize AI tools daily to generate, maintain, and review test cases.
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted testing practices across the QA team.
• Develop deep knowledge of the TMS and Salesforce platform.
• Mentor QA Analysts and engineers, enhancing their automation skills and judgment.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on daily use of AI tools in testing workflows with demonstrable impact.
• Strong judgment to validate AI output and teach this skill.
• Minimum 5 years experience writing and maintaining automated tests using JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java within AI-assisted workflows.
• Experience auditing automated test code and explaining quality.
• Proficient in API and integration testing.
• A QA-focused mindset prioritizing product reliability.
• Curiosity about processes and product to inform improvements.
• Comfortable leading and mentoring in automation expertise.
• Experience connecting automated tests to CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting flaky tests.

Preferred

• Salesforce platform automation experience including Lightning/LWC UI and Apex basics.
• Experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or supply chain software.
• Collaboration with distributed or third-party automation teams.
• Experience evaluating automation frameworks and tools.
• Salesforce certifications are a plus.
